The Theme Of The Month 'Quickening' - 1 Peter 1:1-25

1 Corinthians 15:45 says, " For it is written, the first man Adam became a living soul – Genesis 2:7. The second Adam – (Jesus Christ) became the life-giving Spirit.”

The second Adam - Jesus Christ ended the first Adam’s race and began a new species of human’s who are in dwelt by the Holy Spirit and carry the life of Christ within them.

The first one, made from dust, has a race of people just like him, who are also made from dust. The one sent from heaven has a race of heavenly people who are just like him. Once we carried the likeness of the man of dust, but now let us carry the likeness of man of heaven. That is, just as Jesus now has an earthly body transformed into a spiritual body, so we will have our bodies transformed into heavenly bodies.

Therefore brethren, let us allow the quickening spirit within us have expression in us. 1 John 4:7-8 says, “Those who are loved by God, let His love continually pour from you to one another, because God is love. Everyone who loves is fathered by God and experiences an intimate knowledge of Him. The one who does not love has not yet to know God, for God is LOVE.”

Ladies and gentlemen, let our lives give expression to the nine (9) ingredients of Divine Love:

1. Patience – Love passive: no hurry, suffers long, bears, believe, hopes and endures all things (vs 4, 7).

2. Kindness – Love in action: never acts rashly or insolently, not inconsistent, puffed up or proud (v4).

3. Generosity – Love in competition: Love in competition: not envious or jealous (v4).

4. Humility – Love in hiding: no parade, no airs, works then retires (v4).

5. Courtesy – Love in society: does not behave unseemly, always polite, at home with all classes, never rude or discourteous (v5).

6. Unselfishness – Love in essence: never selfish, sour or bitter, seek only good of others, does not retaliate or seek revenge (v5).

7. Good temper – Love in disposition: never irritated, never resentful (v5).

8. Righteousness – Love in conduct: hates sin, never glad when others go wrong, always gladdened by goodness to others, always slow to expose, always eager to believe the last, always hopeful, always enduring (v6-7).

9. Sincerity – Love in profession/confession: never boastful and conceited, not a hypocrite, always, honest, leaves no impression but what is strictly truly never self-assertive, does not blaze.

Out in passionate anger, nor brood over wrongs, always just, joyful and truthful, knows how to be silent, full of trust and always present. Brethren, spiritually speaking, when I was a child, I spoke about childish matters, for I saw things like a child and reasoned like a child. But the day came when I matured and I set aside my childish ways. Let the wisdom of God aid us in our maturity of spiritual things. Then we experience a quickening, speed up, acceleration, hasten, hurry and hurry up to stimulate, excite, stir up, arouse, waken and activate the resurrection power of God in all its full expression.

I pray for someone today and always, receive divine quickening and speed, in Jesus mighty name, amen.

4. Father, thank You for a quickening spirit and divine speed and acceleration in Jesus name.

5. My Father, I call out my glory out of darkness out of captivity, out of appreciation in Jesus name.

6. My Father, I call forth all the children’s glory out of captivity and to begin shine in Jesus name.

7. Jeremiah 31:33 – Father, put Your instructions deep within me, write it on my heart, be my God and I am all Yours, Lord.

8. Deuteronomy 2:3 – Father, break this evil pattern in my life, family, bloodline in Jesus name.

9. 1 Peter 5:10 Father Lord, I have suffered a while, please restore, support, settle and strengthen me, place me on a firm foundation, because all power belongs to You forever in Jesus name.

10. 1 Corinthian 15:45 – Father, quicken me and grant me divine speed, acceleration this day, month, year to where You want me to be by Your power in Jesus name.
