The Theme Of The Month ' Dedication' - 2 Chronicles 6:1-42

Welcome to January 2024, the month of “Dedication” John 17:19 says “And now I dedicate myself to them as a holy sacrifice, so that they will live as fully dedicated to God and be made holy by Your Truth.”

The word dedicate or dedication is defined as, “to devote to the worship of a divine being, to set apart to a definite use - Exodus 13: 2.” Every time dedication is mentioned it always comes with a new covenant and King Solomon did this 1Kings 8:23 during the prayer of dedication in the temple. “Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like You in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before You in wholehearted devotion.”

Jesus showed us a good example to emulate by first dedicating himself to us as a holy sacrifice, so that we will live as fully dedicated people to God and be made holy by His truth.

Hebrews 8:10 says “For here is the covenant I will one day establish with the people of Israel (House of Hope), I will embed my laws within their thoughts and fasten them on to their hearts. I will be their loyal God and they will be my loyal people.

Therefore, let us exceed Gods expectations by: -

• Firstly, dedicating ourselves fully to the Lord, according to Gods pleasure. Especially pouring out ourselves through various outreaches for the poor and needy amongst us and the communities around us.

• Secondly, let us dedicate our children to God particularly the first-born children and point them in the way that they should go, and the values they have learned from us will be with them for life.

• Thirdly, let us dedicate this new altar of fire t the Lord because he has kept His promises to his son Jesus. He made that promise with his own mouth, and with His own hands he has fulfilled it giving us this place today.

Father God, as we dedicate ourselves today and always let this be our testimony, “the people were absolutely beside themselves and astonished beyond measure and they began to declare, everything he does is wonderful, He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” Mark 7:37.

On this new altar, God will come to save his people. God will build up his cities (His dwelling places) of Judah (Roehampton). For here his people will live in peace. We will drink deeply of the pleasures of this God, experience for ourselves the joyous mercies he gives to all who turn (dedicate) to hide themselves in Him. (Psalms 69:35, 34:8).

I pray for someone here and under the sound of my voice or hearing/reading this, according to Psalm 76:12 may the Lord God show forth in your life what He is famous for, breaking the spirit of the powers that be (who trouble your destiny, life, ministry, family generations) and the Kings of the earth will know God as the fearsome one, Amen.

As we dedicate ourselves to God, this month, this year The Lord says, these new covenants and in this place-

1. I will watch over and care for them.

2. I will bring them back here again.

3. I will build them up and not tear them down.

4. I will plant them and not uproot them.

5. I will give them hearts that recognize me as Lord.

6. They will be my people and I their God for they will return to me wholeheartedly.

All these He will do for the House of Hope. Let me be the first to say congratulations.

Prayer Points:-

1. Thank You, Lord, for your protection and promoting us into 2024.

2. Father, help us to receive divine consciousness.

3. Thank You for You have been our Ebenezer. Lord let me please you all through 2024 and beyond.

4. Thank You for Your word and promises of a new covenant. I receive it and my faith embraces it now and always.

5. Father, I dedicate my entire life and all that concerns me to You Lord just as You Lord Jesus has dedicated yourself to us.

6. Father, thank You for what You are going to do for us this month, year 2024.

7. Hosea 13:13-14 Father, please intervene, and pull us into life by snatching us from death, limitations, generational and ancestral.
