The month of 'Arise and Shine' - Isaiah 60:1-22

Psalm 4:5-6 (TPT) “Bring to Yahweh the sacrifice of righteousness and put Your trust in Him. Lord, prove them wrong when they say, God can’t help you”, let the light of Your radiant face break through and shine upon us.”

Last month’s theme was restoration through deepening intimacy with the Lord. This memory verses talks about bringing to Yahweh the sacrifices of righteousness and to put your trust in God.

Arise is defined as, “Get up or stand up, come Give out a bright light, or beam. Direct (a torch or other light) somewhere in order to see something is the dark. A quality of brightness produced when light is reflected on something.”

The Bible defines both words thus: - Arise (from spiritual depression to a new life). Shine (be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord, for Your light has come and the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon You.” (Isaiah 60:1).

Now that, restoration has taken place in Your life, arise from spiritual depression, slumber and darkness and let Your light shine for all to see.

In Acts 3:1-10, the lame man suffered these things and more, but when His restoration came, the Bible says, then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up; and as he did the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. What happened? He jumped up, stood on his feet and began to walk. Then, walking, leaping and praising God, he went into the temple with them. His opportunity came for him to practice all the years of his imagination of how he will dance to praise and worship God if only he could gain strength in his feet, how he would sacrifice the sacrifice of righteousness and praises to God. How he may have prayed this prayer, Lord prove them wrong when they say God can’t help him (me). Let the light of Your radiant face breakthrough and shine upon him (me).

All the people saw him walking and heard him praising God and realised he was the former lame beggar, they had seen so often at the church gate, they were absolutely astounded.

I decree from now on people will begin to praise and glorify God because of you and what God has done in your life. I therefore encourage you to acknowledge God as you arise from spiritual hideout, sitting backstage as the Bible says, “but as for you, be strong and courageous for your work will be rewarded.” – (2 Chronicles 15:7).

God has shown He can help you, so glorify Him and He will do more to surprise you daily.

I look forward to hearing your testimonies to encourage others and glorify God ultimately.

Happy New Month – to Arise and Shine for your light has come!!!
