The Month Of 'Take Your Place' - John 17:1-26

“The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious !” (Romans 8:19 TPT)

Take your place is defined according to Macmillan dictionary as:-

1. To go to a particular position so that you are ready to do something. To somewhere, or to move, (head) somewhere or (progress) in a particular direction.

2. To become part of a particular group of people or things. You as a church which has taken its place among the finest worship centres or establishments in the city.

It is written, but those who embraced Him and took hold of His name (those who are putting faith into His name to take hold of His name, means to believe everything He represents and put into practice what He taught in the power of His name) He gave authority to become the children of God – John1:12.

You see, He raised us up with Christ the exalted One, and we ascended with Him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ, and now He is exalted as first above every ruler, authority, governments and realm of power in existence. He is gloriously enthroned over every name that is ever praised, not only in this age, but in the age that is coming (Ephesians 1:21; 2:6).

Therefore, brethren when we decide to take our place in God’s family which we have been adopted into, accept beyond reasonable doubt that heaven is our destination and not here on earth, our focus will be on things in and about heaven not earth. Living a transformed lifestyle which invariably impacts our choices, character, attitudes and decisions on a daily basis – Colossians 3:1-4.

Taking your place both in the physical and in the spiritual realm like Jesus is a lifestyle that pleases God, you equally authorise the Holy Spirit of God to freely function and fulfil His assignments in and through you – namely: -

1. Sets free from sins – Romans 8:1-2 2. Cancels death penalty – Roman 8:1-2 3. Fulfils righteousness – Romans 8: 4-5 4. Indwells believers – v9-11 5. Gives life – v10 6. Quickens the mortal body - v11 7. Mortifies sinful members – v13 8. Leads children of God – v14 9. Adopts into God’s family – v15 10. Bears witness of sonship – v16 11. Helps infirmities – v26 12. Makes intercession for saints – v26

Ladies and gentlemen, the universe have an expectation and all believers have a hope and expectation that Jesus will return to take His own and God equally have expectation which Jesus expressed, “... But when the Son of Man returns, how many will He find on earth who have faith” – Luke 18:8.

In conclusion – Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God’s armour so that You will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:10-12.

According to the definition mentioned earlier, let us decide to start somewhere and move ahead, progress to a particular direction – guided by the Holy Spirit which is the non- negotiable will of God for our lives.

Prayer Points:-

1. Father thank You for bringing me, my family, HOH family through and into October 2022 in Jesus’ name.

2. Father, thank You for the successful burial of Queen Elizabeth II peacefully and the new appointments in the Royal family and the government.

3. Father, thank You for Your passionate sustenance of Your Church, House of Hope and her family in Jesus’ name.

4. Father, please open the eyes, ears and the month of heart that I will see, hear and feel the way You feel Lord in Jesus’ name.

5. Father Lord, make me a shining light in the midst of the darkness of this world in Jesus’ name.

6. Every power that wants to disconnect me from Divine ’Source of abundant life be disgraced in Jesus’ name.

7. Father, that I may know You as I run toward You, so I will make it in life in Jesus’ name.

8. Father, empower me with baptism of Holy Spirit fire and power in Jesus’ name.

9. Father, help me to take my place/position in Your Kingdom realm and my life a fertile ground for Your word. Lord God, please show, fork Your power – me life, family and to the nations in Jesus’ name.
